Terrorism raids carried out across Sydney
|
600 Police raid homes across Sydney
Currently ongoing but so far 15 people detained and 1 person charged as Police will allege that planning had begun to kidnap a random person from the streets of Sydney's CBD, behead them and drape them in the Islamic State flag.

Should start doing them here on mass got enough suspects to keep themselves busy
Wankers to scared to upset them
Stick to putting a football hooligans door in for staring at someone

Australia has got its fair share of the PC Brigade and looney left, thankfully they dont get taken seriously and get quickly laughed at and told to shut up for there comments
This today from one of them as the raids started this morning that use new anti terror laws that have been introduced
David Leyonhjelm said he is concerned that beefed-up legislation includes immunities for special security operations that are so wide as to allow for certain forms of torture, including drugging, sensory bombardment and sleep deprivation.

That concern is probably due to the fact that new terrorist based legislation is nearly always misappropriated and used for anything other than combating terrorism.
Nothing Looney or pc about that, he's probably concerned about his, yours and everyone else's civil liberties as much as anything.

Attorney-General George Brandis described Senator Leyonhjelm's claims as "absolute rubbish", saying the new powers had been twice scrutinised by a bipartisan committee and brought laws governing ASIO into line with the Crimes Act,

Yes, they do things right in Australia. Just a little surprised they let so many in.

There was a lot of laughing and suppression of people's views in Germany in the 1930s.

Understand the Aboriginal population is somewhere between 1 & 3 % of the total so I guess 'letting so many in' was a bit of a necessity. Even the PM is a Pommy migrant

My comments on PC and looney left were bit OTT I would grant you but to compare to what happened in Germany is just ludicrous! Or don’t you think there is anything to worry about from this Radical Islam, all a bit exaggerated maybe?
Those who opposed the Nazis were quickly eliminated, so in this situation your saying we should tolerate IS and not try and get rid of this cancer to mankind?, big difference to the Nazis getting rid of those that spoke out against them and IS who would happily kill the lot of us given the chance.

Ignore Ronald, Sydney. He's got his tin foil hat on and thinks everything is a conspiracy to enslave mankind.

It looks like the AFP and/or ASIO has taken a lead from the FBI. That is, lure some young disaffected brown people into a sting operation, and then swoop at the last minute to save the day.
The fact that the FBI has done this a number of times is a matter of record.

I have a genuine concern about this ugly affair.
Take away the obvious potential IS threat the greater and more permanent issue is about the divide this sort of action creates within Australian society.
Every Muslim, every slightly dark skinned person (with or without a beard) is potentially treated with suspicion by the rest of the community. This can well breed intolerance and the resulting consequences. Inverse of this is the sense of persecution within the Muslim community which can further drive the zealot end of their community to act in ways no-one wants to witness.

I realise this attempt to stimulate a bit of cerebral activity out there in WHO land will most likely be in vain, but here goes anyway.
